Michael
DiSanto is an independent industry trainer with more than
36 years of experience in the optical field. A resident of
Cleveland, Ohio, he is the past President of the Opticians
Association of Ohio, is a Masters Certified Optician, and a
graduate of John Carroll University.
In addition, Michael is an adjunct instructor in the Cuyahoga
Community College for the Ophthalmic Dispensing Program, and has
worked on a number of special projects for the National Academy of
Opticians.
In recent events, he had been the national customer education
director for Essilor of America. A recipient of the Beverly Meyers
Achievement Award, his articles have been published in a variety of
trade journals, and he is active on the national lecture
circuit.
In fact, his book, the TOPS Dispensing Manual, has been adopted
into many optician school programs. Most recently, Michael has
developed Primary Training for Professional Dispensers, an ABO and
basic training program that consist of over 400 pages of text and 8
hours of video. Michael has been highly sought after on the
