Michael DiSanto is an independent industry trainer with more than 36 years of experience in the optical field. A resident of Cleveland, Ohio, he is the past President of the Opticians Association of Ohio, is a Masters Certified Optician, and a graduate of John Carroll University.

In addition, Michael is an adjunct instructor in the Cuyahoga Community College for the Ophthalmic Dispensing Program, and has worked on a number of special projects for the National Academy of Opticians.

In recent events, he had been the national customer education director for Essilor of America. A recipient of the Beverly Meyers Achievement Award, his articles have been published in a variety of trade journals, and he is active on the national lecture circuit.
